As far as we know there is no big carnival parade in Westende itself, but carnival is celebrated widely nearby.

• Nearby: carnival in Ostend and grand carnival parade in Oostduinkerke.
• Folklore: in mid-March the Ezelcavalcade, a folk parade, goes through Lombardsijde (municipality of Middelkerke).
